The occasion brought together 20 golfers and 4 distinguished guests, with prizes presented by the Headmaster, Dr Chris Evans (OR 1990-1997).

The format was 4-ball better ball — teams of two competing against each other, with the outcome of each hole decided by each pair's best net score.

The final result was a 3-2 victory for the School, whose golfers proved themselves a real force to be reckoned with.

OR Archivist, Ken Brown (1955-1963) introduced the new Bob George Golf Trophy, established in memory of the late Bob George (OR 1931-1940) as a reflection of his distinguished career both at School and beyond.

Competition Highlights:

Match 1: Michael Barrott (OR 1966-1973) & Paul Stoker (OR 1975-1982) lost to Alun Lloyd (OR 1998-2005; South House Boarding Housemaster; Teacher of English) & Chris Betteridge (Head of School House; Teacher of Mathematics), 3 & 1
