More than 80 guests — including Old Redingensians, current and former parents, staff, CCF representatives and friends of Reading School — gathered in Big School on Friday 29 November for a memorable evening celebrating our heritage and supporting the Beyond 900 Campaign.
The event brought together generations of our community, united by a shared affection for Reading School and a commitment to shaping its future.
A Night of Music, Conversation & Community

We were also honoured to welcome Tom Whipple (OR 1993–2000), Science Writer and Special Correspondent at The Times, whose warm, witty and insightful reflections added depth and character to the night.
Auction in Support of the Beyond 900 Campaign
One of the evening’s major highlights was our charity auction, led by Headmaster Chris Evans, who stepped into the role of auctioneer with great energy and flair.
Guests bid on over 50 prizes across a diverse range of categories — from luxury experiences and sports activities to unique memorabilia. The auction featured many standout items, including:
