We are delighted to invite you to the Reading School Careers Convention 2026, taking place on Thursday 5 February from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on the school site.
We are very grateful to LGFL Limited (Leiper Gupta Family Lawyers), King Energy Heating and Plumbing, and P-TEK for generously sponsoring this year’s event and supporting our students’ career development.
About the Careers Convention
This event is particularly valuable for students in Years 9 to 13, as they begin to consider future pathways, subject choices, university options, apprenticeships, and careers. Students in Years 7 and 8 are also welcome, giving them an early opportunity to gain an insight into career planning and the wide range of possibilities available to them.
This year, we are pleased to welcome over 40 organisations from a wide range of industries, including engineering, finance, technology, healthcare, law, media, science and professional services. Representatives will be hosting stalls in the Refectory, Gym and Rooms 1–6, where students and parents can speak directly with professionals about career routes, qualifications and real-world experiences.
For on-site security purposes, we kindly ask that you RSVP using the link above.
Keynote Talks
In addition to the stalls, we’ll be hosting six keynote speakers with short, engaging talks on a range of topics. Each talk lasts 20 minutes and will be delivered twice during the evening, so more students can attend. They’ll take place in Big School, the Chapel, and the Lecture Theatre—and are open only to Years 9 to 13.
We'll promote the talk shortly.
