Staff vs Prefects Charity Football Match
From 20 April to 26 April, Chris Fordham (OR1994–2001) will be taking on seven marathons in seven consecutive days, culminating in the London Marathon as part of “The Long Run for Mental Health” campaign. He is running to raise funds for Samaritans, following the loss of a close friend last year, and to raise awareness of mental health struggles, especially among young people.
On Friday 24 April, Chris will return to Reading School to speak with Year 9 students in Chapel about the importance of looking after mental wellbeing, particularly during the pressures of school life. After the talk, he will run a lap of the field with each House, before continuing his remarkable challenge.
Later that day, after school, we will host a Staff vs Prefects Charity Football Match in support of Chris’s campaign.
Everyone is welcome to attend and cheer on the teams. While entry is free, we warmly encourage donations to Chris’s JustGiving page to support his fundraising efforts.
