We are excited to invite you to be a part of our inaugural 36-hour Giving Day! This special event brings together the entire Reading School community, students, alumni, parents and friends to support the future of our school.
How to Support in Advance:
We invite you to amplify your impact by contributing to our Match Fund for Giving Day or to a specific challenge undertaken by our students during the event. By supporting the Match Fund in advance, you help us double the impact of every gift. This creates a powerful incentive for donors to participate on the day, as their contribution is matched, effectively multiplying the overall impact on the cause.
If the Match Fund doesn’t align with your interests, consider our Challenge Fund instead. It allows you to support specific challenges undertaken by our students during Giving Day. Your donation will be directed towards reaching a particular goal, providing an additional boost to their efforts and amplifying the impact of your gift.
For details, please contact us at development@reading-school.co.uk.
How to Participate During the Event:
You are warmly invited to visit the school on the afternoon of 27th March to see it in action. Join us from 1:30pm to experience the excitement firsthand, as students take on House challenges and attempt to break world records. If you're interested, please click RSVP above.
Parents attending will be directed to the zones for their child's House upon arrival.
There will be a Headmaster's address at 15.10 to 15.25 in the School Chapel after which students are free to meet their parents at the end and either stay for the Staff v Prefect annual football match on the school field or leave the school site.
We’ll be sharing the updates over social media and email throughout the 36 hours of Giving Day. Keep an eye out for the exciting challenges our students are taking on to raise funds for the Beyond 900 Campaign. You can show your support by making a donation here: https://givingday.reading-school.co.uk/coming-soon/
Taking place from 8:30am on 26th March to 8:30pm on 27th March, Giving Day is a 36-hour challenge where our students will take part in a variety of exciting activities to raise sponsorship for the Beyond 900 Campaign. This fund will support transformational projects, including new sports facilities, improved Sixth Form spaces, enhanced Expressive Arts facilities and the advancement of the Future Stories social mobility programme.
Our students have chosen to participate in four key areas of activities, based on their interests and passion:
These activities will be filled with fun, energy and impact, all for a great cause!
